Mounts Bay Music has been in Penzance since about 1999. 

The current owners, Tracy Story and Frania Watson, took ownership of the shop in December of 2007.

Frania is a native of Cornwall. She studied piano, singing and performing arts from a very early age. After attending ballet school in London, she danced and taught in England and Europe. Upon returning to the UK, she taught privately and in nurseries, schools and in adult education. Upon happily returning to Cornwall, Frania took time out to raise a family. All of her children have been very active musically. Her association with Mounts Bay Music came through her eldest son being one of Tracy's longest standing guitar students.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Tracy has been a guitarist for the last 30 years and has worked in many varied aspects of the music industry. Besides his 12 week course at the Guitar Institute Of Technology based in Atlanta, he is largely self-taught. Taking inspiration and information from any source available to him with a dedicated fervor. Tracy became a part of Mounts Bay Music in 2002, as the private guitar instructor at the shop. He quickly became one of the busiest tutors in the area and enjoyed great popularity. Currently, Tracy has retired from teaching and is focusing all of his attention on the shop and writing, performing and recording his own music .
